FAR 1200 angled radiator lockshield valve for steel pipe
FAR 1200 is an angled chrome-plated radiator lockshield and regulating valve, normally installed on the radiator return connection. It allows the flow to be shut off and adjusted for hydraulic balancing of an individual radiator in a heating system.
Unlike FAR 1100, which has an interchangeable connection for copper, plastic or multilayer pipe fittings, FAR 1200 has a threaded connection for direct connection to a steel pipe. Its angled design positions the radiator and pipe connections at an angle of 90°.
The radiator tailpiece has a male tapered R thread, while the steel pipe connection has a female parallel G thread. The radiator tailpiece is factory pre-sealed with Loctite® Dri-Seal® 5061.
The valve has a brass protective cap, an adjustment spindle with double O-ring sealing and a metal shut-off element with an additional O-ring seal. An HPF seat provides sealing between the radiator tailpiece and the valve body.
The valve is suitable for heating and cooling systems using water or water-glycol mixtures. The nominal pressure is 16 bar, the maximum operating pressure is 10 bar, and the maximum operating temperature is 95 °C.
