FAR 1100 angled radiator lockshield valve for multilayer, copper or plastic pipe
FAR 1100 is an angled chrome-plated radiator lockshield and regulating valve, normally installed on the radiator return connection. It allows the heating medium flow to be shut off and adjusted for hydraulic balancing of an individual radiator in a central heating system.
The pipe side has an interchangeable FAR 24 × 19 connection. A suitable FAR fitting is installed according to the pipe material, outside diameter and wall thickness. Compatible fittings are available for:
- multilayer pipes;
- copper pipes;
- plastic or PE pipes.
FAR 1100 has an angled design, with the radiator and pipe connections positioned at a right angle. It is available in 3/8″ (DN 10) and 1/2″ (DN 15) sizes. Both versions have a FAR 24 × 19 pipe connection.
The radiator tailpiece has a male tapered R thread and is factory pre-sealed with Loctite® Dri-Seal® 5061. An HPF seat provides sealing between the tailpiece and the valve body.
The valve features a metal shut-off element with an O-ring seal, double O-ring sealing on the adjustment spindle and a brass protective cap. The chrome-plated finish provides a neat appearance, including in visible radiator installations.
The valve is suitable for heating and cooling systems using water or water-glycol mixtures. The maximum operating pressure is 10 bar and the maximum operating temperature is 95 °C.
Important information about the pipe fitting
The pipe fitting is not included with the valve and must be selected according to the pipe type and dimensions.
For a 16 × 2 mm multilayer pipe, the following fitting is suitable:
FAR 6055 58190 – fitting for 16 × 2 mm multilayer pipe with FAR 24 × 19 connection.
